Ahh, Joshua Tree. I used to live in SoCal & drive out on the Mojave every so often.
You should get the exact physical exam requirements from the recruiter. The DOT physical (gets you your license) is mostly the basic heart beat/vision stuff. But a company may add on some agility & strength things.
We have, or had, some TT ladies get into flatbed driving with some success. And whatever you are required to do should be OK for most any guy or lady.
On the job, I think the thoughest thing you might need to do is arm wrestle the landing gear crank.
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

I'm sure they're both fine, but I'm still kind of vacillating between Knight or Prime. They've both invited me to move forward in the game. One thing with Knight I'm concerned about are the physical requirements. I guess they're exceptional? I'm a 48 year old lady. I walk for a hour on some hilly terrain a few times a week, so I'm fairly fit. It's the upper body strength that concerns me. For instance, I carried a 30 pound bag of dog food a few hundred feet last night and did fine, but no way could I lift that thing over my head. Is there anywhere I could see the exact requirements?
