Taco truck opens up to serve drivers in Seattle traffic

A taco truck opened for lunch on the I-5 where traffic had stopped. Traffic taco-way! Entrepreneur cashes in on a traffic jam by opening his portable food stall on the HIGHWAY

An overturned propane tanker on I-5 in Seattle caused an 8-hour traffic jam, both ways, not only on the highway, but on all the surrounding streets, as well. Luckily for taco-lovers, or just hungry folk stuck in the jam, one trucks misfortune led to another's good fortune.

"The truck driver told the Washington State Patrol that traffic in front of him slowed and he was unable to stop, plowing into four other vehicles and causing him to roll over. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries."

What do you do if you're driving a fully-stocked taco truck, and you're stuck in a traffic jam for an extended period of time? When life gives you lemons, you start selling tacos.

“We are ready to serve food, anywhere,” Thomas Lopez, the owner of El Tajin, said later.
