Yay!!! I'm hoping to pay off my car and sell.it next month. That would get me free n clear.
So happy for u
Congrats. If you work on what you owe your dad with the same intensity it will be gone in no time.
I still owe my dad money on a credit card
Screw it, He's your Dad, tell him to SUE YA'!!
CONGRATULATIONS! This is a BIG deal! You are justified in your excitement. In a society hammering at you to take on more debt (via car loans, house, vacations, etc) being debt-free is rare.
Dave Ramsey would be proud!
Congratulations! YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION!

I wish haha, but I got to pay him back. He went out of business 5 years ago and my moms retirement only goes so far. I should have it paid off quick now. Afterwards my only bill will be 104 a month for my cellphone!

That's where I got the initial push. Paid off my credit card after a month solo and have been chipping away at the other ones. Live like nobody does so you can live like nobody does in the future. Minimalism also has been a saving grace, glad to learn these things earlier in life.

I paid off the rest of my student loans! Took me 11 months and I did it! This was my main goal coming into this job and it is a great feeling to rid that from my life. So now in the legal sense I am debt free, but in the responsible sense I am not because I still owe my dad money on a credit card. Overall though I feel great and now time to finish off that other card and then save more.
