Hi first time posting here . I have a son who has really changed his life around just for the dream of trucking. he has completed trucking school and did awesome and passed the urine drug test. he hasn't used marijuana in about 90 days and he won't ever do it again. he wants to work for modular transport out of michigan. he doesn't think he's ready for a hair test but can pass the urine. this is his dream to drive and is dedicated. I just can't find any info on modulars drug testing policy. thank for you anwsers and happy driving

Don't think we have anyone onboard here, that has gone to an orientation for them - so I doubt we have an answer for you here, as far as the type of testing they do. I found an old thread on another forum, that had a driver that tested for Modular and claimed it was urine only - but that was in 2013. Things may have changed since then - there are a lot more companies that are doing hair now, then there was 4 years ago.

Is modular his only option? One of the things I notice on their site - is that Company Drivers get paid 23-26% of "gross line haul". Not sure what that amounts to - but I supposed if they are getting/keeping drivers, it can't be too bad.

Sorry for not having an answer to your question on drug testing there. There are other options for companies that do not do hair testing. But you want to get into a company within 30-60 days after completing trucking school - otherwise, the training may be considered "stale".

Best of luck.

Rick

Line Haul:

Linehaul drivers will normally run loads from terminal to terminal for LTL (Less than Truckload) companies.

LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning them to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal.
