Prime hires nationwide, and although some tell me recruiting told them they don't hire out of southern. FL, I have friends at prime who live there too.
You don't need to live near a terminal to work at prime.
I run reefer and we have a ton of customers in TX, but I'm sure a Flat bedder will come along and post ;)
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
A refrigerated trailer.
Yes we have a ton of flatbed freight in Texas. We even have a Texas regional board and you stay mainly in Texas. You will run some Oklahoma and Louisiana and a few areas on that board. A lot of them drivers get home most weekends as well. Or you could simply do OTR and we have tons of miles there also.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I recently moved to Austin Tx, I have my class C in Arkansas though... does anyone know if Prime hires out of either area?
