Welcome to the forum Eddie.
Indeed May Trucking is a good company. As are many others...we emphasize to everyone entering this as a career, "good drivers can be successful for most any company they choose to drive for". What matters is your attitude (positive), your motivation to learn (focus), and your determination (unwilling to give up). Almost every large carrier is represented with successful drivers on this forum.
Take a look at these links for a better perspective, and also a method of effectively jump-starting your training for passing the permit tests:
Good luck!

Think I've read hundreds of posts here, so here is my first question:
I start CDL training mid July and I've been doing a lot of research on what company would be a good starter company. I am strongly leaning towards May Trucking, partially because they have a drop yard about 60 miles away, just north of Sacramento. I also watched a large amount of youtube clips of a guy (Red Head Trucker) that used to work there and he seemed to really enjoy the company. He quit May because he wanted to stay home. Well I am single and I actually like long road trips. Ok, after that rambling, why do you guys think of May Trucking? Thanks !
