One week after I passed my CDL exam, my trainer and I got a load to CA. I was still getting used to driving with my trainer asleep in the back instead of sitting in the passenger seat. My first mountain pass was Donner, and I got there around 2 or 3am.... The twisting roads and downgrades had me gripping the wheel so hard my hands went numb. I'm also pretty sure my butt bit off a chunk of the seat from clinching so hard. Would love to see it during the day sometime.
