I don’t know exactly where in Charlotte but that’s what my recruiter told me. I think it may be a new area

Your class will start promtly at 0600, arrive at 0545 to be safe. Although I trained at Swift's Academy in Richmond, start times are the same at all their company schools.

Your recruiter should have sent you (email) a comprehensive packet of information on start times and other details. I suggest a follow-up call or email requesting this information.

By the way...the email you attached with your post looks rather bogus. There is no guarantee of employment unless you graduate, pass the CDL tests, complete mentoring and pass the final road and yard skills test. Did a recruiter write this?

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

G town. I don’t know if she wrote it up or if it was something they sent out pre typed. My recruiter is Wendy Chambers.

Charlotte might be a contracted school called Trans Tech. If the above email you shared came from them, please call your recruiter.

Look at the sending email address of the recruiter. Is it from "@swifttrans.com" or from a school or outside recruiter of some sort?

Swifttrans:

Swift Transportation began operations in 1966 transporting imported steel through the ports of Los Angeles to Arizona and Arizona cotton for export back through to Southern California.

Jerry Moyes, founder, began with the same entrepreneurial, can-do spirit that is one of Swift’s core values today.

Today, Swift generates over $4 billion in revenue and operates nearly 18,000 trucks.
