...and when I got in I had to also take Class C, Class A General Knowledge, Combinations, Air Brakes and then finally the three endorsements I went in for.

You know that moment when you didn't think to study for for 50% of a test but you already paid $40 to "renew" the license you got 1 year ago that was still good for another 3 years? Yeah...

Good news is I passed them all in the first go and even got my eye wear restriction removed. They were as surprised as I was that I legally don't need glasses.

Oddly enough they were even surprised I went through the TSA background check before I took the tests. Who would go through this kind of hassle without making sure they've been cleared first?

Thank God you made it through all the testing!

Just make sure your eyesight is at least 20/40 in both eyes and you'll be good to go. Anytime you start a new job you'll need a new DOT physical and they're going to test your eyesight every time.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Good advice and thank you Brett and Woody. I'm glad it's behind me and I'm looking forward to getting some real experience. Thank you once again for making the training and practice tests available online and free.
