Well, I'm Stuck.

Heading west on I80 through Pennsylvania with the plan on stopping for the night at the Flying J just over the boarder in Ohio. Pennsylvania closed I80 just East of I76. Not sure if it was closed due to the snow or a wreck. Working my way around this, to get to my stopping point, I came to a nice hill. Got about halfway up it when I lost traction. The hill is to steep and icy for the tow truck to tow me up. They pulled me straight and got me parked on the side of the road. Here I sit waiting for Penn DOT to come sand and salt the road. Good thing is, no property damage or injuries. Bad thing is I'm 20 miles from the J. Of course my pride was hurt. Oh, I started this day with a flat on the trailer. What a day. 😢

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Sounds like a rough day. When the road re-opens you should stop by Punxsutawney and go groundhog hunting.

Lol. I passed there early in the day. I'm in Mercer.

Well a third cop came by a little while ago and told me the road should be passable and there was truck parking a few miles away. He couldn't have me stay there as that was a main route for the drunks and he didn't want me getting hit. I made it up the hill and to truck parking. I have had a week from hell. But it paid well. 😉

At least you are safe. That's the most important thing here.

So sorry brother, that is what it's like here in PA. Glad to hear that you are safe and no major damage or anything. Be safe out there and keep the rubber side down. Your story sounds somewhat like the Highway thru Hell show on Discovery.
