I made it to Joplin, MO and am sitting in a darn nice suite close to the Laquinta Inn where I was supposed to be the first couple of nights. I'll go to CFI headquarters in the am to meet my recruiter and others, gonover paperwork and drug tests, and other things that need done before going to Crowder College in Neosho on Saturday. Tonight, I'll just relax and watch my beloved Cleveland Browns probably botch another #1 draft pick. The bus trip was interesting. Almost was left in St. Louis because I needed a tag on my duffle bag. By the time I went back to the ticket area to get a tag and get back to the bus, the driver was closing the door. He acted put out when I was knocking on the bus door. He is the person who told me to go get a tag, then he was going to leave without me. All's well that ends well, though.

Good luck at Crowder. It's a good school and the instructors know their stuff. Don't be surprised if you cannot log in to this site for a few days. The wifi at the school is not always the greatest. I finished orientation today and head home in the am for a week to relax a little. Then I'll find out when I head out with the trainer. Good luck in this journey.

Great to hear. I guess the LA Quinta was booked up. What hotel did they put you in? Good luck with everything.

So I am at CFI headquarters for drug screenings, etc. There are 11 of us from a variety of countries. One is from Senegal, seven from Mexico, two from Puerto Rico and myself. It is going to be one of those "hurry up and wait" mornings.

Yes, that is a long morning. At orientation it's just a pee test.

I heard that those are the apartments they use when the hotel is booked. They have all the amenities like a complete apartment I heard. The only bad thing I think is no free breakfast like the hotel. Good luck

Chuck: Where I am staying is indeed the "overflow" apartments. It is called TheMainstay. It is really nice and I have one apartment all to myself. Score! We do eat breakfast at the LaQuinta.
