I am not in the industry yet, but I enjoy looking at pictures like this and the few others than have been posted. Kinda start to get an idea of places you will need to get your rig into. Thanks.
I did too and still enjoy these. Some of the places you go you have to wonder what we're they thinking? One of the reasons I posted this is normally your in the wrong area if you can see houses and your in a city. You'll notice lots of houses are in the picture.
A little closer to see what you get to work with.
Unfortunately I have already posted at one time or another many of the scrap places I go to. They are always such a joy.
Here is where I am currently at. Picture doesn't do it justice as it is 'clean' in the sat pic. However, when it is 'messy' as it is today is when it gets entertaining.
I will send pics of the pathway thru the trash once I am called back to a dock.

Yeah... the scary part is that I'm in a food grade tanker. The scrap place is next door.
Yes I completely understand the scrap yards. We haul a lot of scrap and most of those places are busy, tight, and filled with piles of garbage and scrap bales everywhere.
I'm surprised how much they cleaned it up from my first circle thru. Here are some pictures anyways
Here is another favorite West Rock location. It is West Rock in Nashville.
After you cross the scales here is the area you have to do a U-turn in
And finally the docks. That is a railroad track to the side of the building and another building across the street.
You can almost smell the... love from those pictures Patrick. Yuck
I've been to a plastics recycling yard before. The stinch of rotten milk in the morning always makes you forget you were hungry.

This is caravan ingredients in Dolton, IL. I made a horrid squiggly mark where the "loading pad" is. Also the entrance is just across from the loading pad, and the dark line you see is a gate.
Definitely not the hardest but it's where I am right now so..
And I love when people post these so.. I may as well add to it.
