Have been sitting at an abandoned truck stop roughly one hour from home with 00:00 left on my 70....ugh. Burned every last minute making this last delivery.

When I get some recap hours at 1 am local I have to go get this trailer washed and fueled. Have to drive right past my house and go to nearest truckstop with washout 65 miles away. Then drag this thing another 75 miles south to drop it at a customer. Then I finally get to bobtail roughly 80 miles back home.

Been out for about 5 weeks and I'm itching to see my wife and two little girls. Probably won't get home till 5 or 6 in the morning.

Soooooo clooooooooose!

Bobtail:

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Ouch! That is a tough one, brother. I'm not trying to compare sob stories with ya, but...

My trainer goofed up and cost me what should have been 4 days of hometime after being away for almost two months. Now, if I'm lucky I might get to see the family for a few hours on Monday while I rush to renew my license.

Sucks that your clock landed that way, but after 1, home is just a few hours away...

Hope you have a quick night, a safe journey, and a great welcome home!

Have her get a baby sitter. Drive to where you are, and have a night out in the truck... wink wink, nudge nudgedancing.gif

Been there. However, yesterday my clock ran out at home. Got to spend one precious afternoon and evening with my wife.

That has happened to me before. I Was only 45 minutes from home, and had to wait for recaps to finish trip.

Recently though. I obtained permission to PC (line 5) after I was empty. From Pittsburgh, to Niagara Falls!
