I made it all the way to the very last turn, back into the parking lot. I impeded traffic. It was actually the best thing that could have happened. I got more time on the range, where the light bulb finally turned on for me, and my backing. I was 1 point from failing on the backing portion. The second time around, I passed with flying colors. Take the time to really look at what you need to do to help you get better.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I'm hoping Schneider will continue to help, because the school just told me it's $500 for another test, and $125 an hour for any practice. I might have to look around and see if anyone is cheaper if they don't cover it.

Hopefully they cover the price, otherwise that'll be pretty costly. Otherwise, hopefully you can find a much cheaper option if for some reason they don't cover it.

Whelp, Schneider can no longer cover my costs but the local CDL school, Mike's called and told me just show up tomorrow to drive the course and show up Monday at 7:30 to take the test and worry about money later. I can't say enough nice things about Mike's.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Those guys can be rough sometimes. Don't let it get you down. You're going to go too Schneider orientation and hit. Some more curbs haha no big deal. And don't worry about Schneider they are very patient.

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
