Did you finish paying off CRST? If not you will have a hard time getting hired. Can you go back to CRST? If you are finished paying CRST and can't go back with them try Paid CDL Training Programs. Good luck.

So you're saying you DON'T have your CDL? Did you leave pretty much as soon as you arrived at CRST, read their contract and went home on your own dime? Or did you sign that contract, then quit? Or did you sign contract and get sent home/fired? The answer is those questions will make a huge difference in offering advice.
If you're under contract with them you need to do whatever you have to do to get back in their good graces and go back and honor that contract.
If you are NOT under contract to CRST, simply apply to other company sponsored training programss. You will be obligated to sign a contract with ANY of them, so be prepared and willing to commit to the company you end up with. They're investing a lot of time and money in you and they have every right to expect you to stick around, be a safe and reliable driver so they can recover their investment.

A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.

An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.
Why not try Paid CDL Training Programs? Get paid while you learn. I went through CFI's paid training and it didn't cost me a dime. I have happily been with them for over one year now. I will stay with them until the time comes for me to go loco, I mean local.
You will most likely need to renew your permit. I assume you have a two year medical card. Unfortunately, your yard dog experience won't count as driving experience. Put the name of any company in the search bar at the top of this page and you will get all kinds of info. Good luck.
