Finally got my CLP today! Took 2 trips to DMV (missed part where certified birth cert. was needed). That and proof of residence (also provided) will allow my CDL (when hopefully, ultimately issued) to be used for "Federal Purposes" (enter a military base and fly after 2020).
Took local DMV contacting Medical Unit in our State Capitol to get my Fed. Med. for InTERstate use off my record to make the one for InTRAstate use valid. (Can't leave State driving a CMV until I get a Fed. waiver but the State waiver and CLP let's me train on the roads when class leaves the track and lot starting 9/8/2018.
Fed. waiver will take 6 months (more or less) once my Endocrinologist signs her paperwork, hopefully in 3 weeks.
So, my training will continue (Tech. College on weekends) without interruption (good news). OTR no time soon. (Bad news).
Just focusing on the tasks at hand. Review in class and a test Sat., first day BACKING tractors with 53' trailers Sun.!
