Hey Ron, welcome.

Not sure if we have any members working for them currently. I'm pretty sure Brett worked for them for a number of years. Give him some time to see this I'm sure he will chime in.

How you doing, Ron? I drive for US Xpress. I did my orientation about 10 months ago. If you have any specific questions, I'll try to answer them as well as I can. Sorry I didn't see your post until now. If I don't hear from you...Good Luck and I hope you enjoy being with US Xpress as much as I do!

I am really looking at US Xpress or Schiedner and have a couple of questions if I may. How long a time do you have to go out with trainer. Read that after training you have to go team, but I am not interested in team driving.

Honestly, I forget the exact number of hours you're required to drive with a trainer. I was with my trainer for just under 6 weeks. Once you get about 2/3 of your required hours with your trainer you'll drive as a team. That means you'll sleep while the trainer is driving and he'll sleep while you're driving. As far as team driving goes...I'm with you. I did not like it. While I was out with my trainer I was contacted by someone from USX who told me I would have to team drive for 6 months after upgrading. However, after I passed my tests to upgrade, I was asked whether I wanted to go team or solo. There was a map on the wall of the United States. There were areas of the map marked as team only. If you are from one of those areas you have to drive team. The only state I know for certain that requires you to team drive is Florida. I will see if I can get more information about that for you.
