Hello all, Just passed my test, now I want to get out of Bayarea And move to Clearlake. Hope I can find a decent paying Class A job.

I know what you mean. As soon as I can I'm leaving Commiefornia. Now the bay area that is where all the trouble with this state began. What happened in the sixties (that's 1960's for all you youngsters), my generation.

But anyway, congratulations on passing your CDL!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Congratulations. If you can move closer to the I5 corridor, you will have your pick of companies. It is a major freight corridor between Seattle and LA. Good luck
