Got enrolled in my companies health insurance today and I'm not going to go into specifics but could be better could definitely be worse. This is the first time I've had health insurance through an employer because I just used the VA but mine was alittle cheaper than my wife's so switched to mine. Anyways curious how insurance is industry wide. Don't remember Schneiders.

Schneider health insurance is also good not the best but it'll help out a lot. I signed my wife and I up for it.nut been having problems verifying proof of dependent, submitted the proof but it says it can take up to 10 business days. I believe when I called Schneider "hotline' for help they said I only have into 12/11/18 to submit proof, so hopefully it goes through.

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

I think the quality of coverage went down over the past decade and costs went up in all health plans. Prime has a similar and sometimes better plan than i had as a federal employee. The vision and dental are exactly the same but cheaper.

My recent surgery was $52,000. I paid $900. My brother has the federal employee plan and he just paid $4000 for a $70,000 surgery. i like mine better lol

all of my meds have been covered almost 100% although i only had a couple scripts.

also, after the first year, the premium goes down drastically. What i paid for just health at the usps is what i pay for ALL my insurances now....including disability, life etc.
