Juicebox, another veteran just joined a Texas based car hauler I believe it was. Maybe in a few weeks he'll be able to update us. But you are right about one thing I hear it can be demanding. There is a guy on YouTube who did an interesting series on it. Name ricecake ftw.
Good to know , I'd sure like to see a section on this niche added to the site , Hope a Mod sees this as a suggestion .
SJ, just as an FYI, pretty much all of the information available on this site is provided courtesy of first-hand knowledge and experience (which makes it so great)... I don’t recall anyone posting anything about hauling cars, so I wouldn’t expect a section about car haulers to be added without first-hand knowledge or experience. Brett’s a one-man show with regard to content, so unless he employs someone(s) to perform research, your best bet is to ask Google about the car-hauling experience.

Hi TT , I was just curious if any here are auto carrier drivers ? I enjoy reading about the different experiences from all you drivers and the lines of freight hauled . I read Brett's book twice and the categories of trucking jobs but didn't happen to see anything on this particular niche . Is this one of the more challenging and labour intensive jobs I've seen that it tends to be quite high paying , some in the 90k range plus they tend to run some beautiful equipment , love those Pete 379s . Anyway any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated . I'm just curious obviously not going to start with a job like that .
TWIC:
Transportation Worker Identification Credential
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
HOS:
Hours Of Service
HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
