OMG!!! so sorry and good call Big Scott.
This Martin of Gastonia only has 15 tractor trailers of 53 foot ...
as per their site, the safety rating site says they have 22 rigs and 25 drivers.
This is indeed not MARTEN who has a terminal in carolina, which is a reputable well known company.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices
BTW.. from reading the forums about this Martin, it appears they are a 1099 company only, and pay a percentage of the freight.
I wouldnt recommend them on that alone.
I was on1099 with the limo company I worked for, i would strongly advise anyone to run from a "company driver" position that pays on 1099 they are trying to skirt on paying taxes and insurance for you.

Also, the Matin that you are talking about looks like a tiny family owned company. This is not the company Rainy D mentioned.
