Is this common? After I login to trucking truth and take the CDL test prep. It seems I get logged out by the system. I don't find out until I click finish. Very frustrating.

At that point I go back to the home page and log in again, take the practice test. Some times it will work...and some times it wont?

Is this a common problem?

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

That should only happen if you walk away for like 8 hours. I think that's the default length of a logged in session.

The only two reasons you should get logged out is if you close your browser or sit idly for 8 hours. Otherwise you should stay logged in.

I just had that happen also. Clicked on "finish" on an exam and it gave an error message that connectivity had been lost. Clicked on the forum. After retrying four or five times to finish noticed it had logged me out. Logged back in and went back to the exam, and it started over and asked two questions then ended. Oh well, my air card may be losing signal at some point.

Keep me updated on this. Anyone that's having this sort of problem let me know. At this point it sounds like connection issues or login sessions timing out which are normal. But if people are having issues I want to know so I can get em corrected. Thanks!

I just had a similar experience while replying to a post. It took me a while to think it though and type it out, and when I finally hit submit it just set their saying sending for a long time. Thankfully I thought to highlight my post and copy just in case something had happened.

I refreshed the page and saw that I had been logged out, that is why it was not sending the post. It took me a while to write it, but definitely not 8 hrs smile.gif

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

What happens a lot is people open their browser and it shows the last page you were viewing the same way you were viewing it. Well the last time you were viewing the page you were logged in so it still shows that message. But in reality, closing the browser logged you out. So the page still acted like you were logged in by letting you post a message but as you saw once you reloaded the page you had been logged out.

I'm going to look into it and see if there's some way I can detect that. Maybe the browser sends a message I can detect.

The best thing to do is refresh the page before trying to submit any messages.

Just FYI I had been on posting in other threads and had not closed my browser. I may have flipped back and forth from a few different tabs in the same browser but never closed the browser itself.

Really like the changes Brett, the new button to log back in is GREAT and I look forward to seeing what you are doing to make it more user friendly on the phone since that's all I can use right now when on the road.

Thanks for all you do thank-you.gif

Forgot to say I was definitely logged in when I started to reply to the post. The thread was blue when I clicked on it telling me there had been a new reply. Not complaining just trying to help ya out with info.

I had the same issue early this morning trying to thank guy for his list idea on companies to choose. I am also using phone. I was thinking my post was too long at 1500 words. I also did refresh page and tried to re preview before submit. Watched the data incoming and recieving timeout at about 10 seconds but then it still said sending but i saw nothing else. So i read brads article and he mentioned super trucker. I posted that within same hour and it sent. Just a phone so i couldnt tell why. Either way that button is the most convienient login i have seen. Nice job.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
