Sorry, I took a picture of the email, but I still can't figure out how to include it here. And yes, I watched the video. I need a technical advisor
So I'll just type in the text of the email. It's from the Operations Manager of the Schneider OC in Indianapolis.
" Yesterday, a trainer at the Indianapolis OC observed Bruce K dropping a trailer at the Indy OC yard. The trainer wanted to pass on some feedback. He stated that Bruce did an amazing job of executing a perfect backing and disconnecting of the trailer. The trainer was impressed at his technique and for the fact he got out of the truck to check his clearance on both sides"
"We've seen an uptick of unsafe drops. So I wanted to pass on the positive feedback."
That's awesome, Bruce! It is rare to be praised for doing the right thing at any job. Hope it doesn't go to your head. I'm sure your struggles with posting pics on TT will keep you humble. Just kidding, buddy. ;)
Good job!
It always feels good to get some positive feed back once and awhile.

Yes, I lag behind the pack in the tech area. Junkyard K9 professes difficulty in that area too, but I think he's ahead of me. However, we are slowly and painfully proving that old dogs can still learn a few new tricks.
There's nothing like good old fashioned positive feedback. All too often, people focus on bad service or what's wrong in a situation. Getting an Attaboy is great because it lets you know that you're doing things properly. It also reaffirms that there are good people in the world who take the time to recognize good.
Well done to both you and the other guy!
Thats awesome.
This reminded me of Big Scott backing up and GOALing at a tight Pilot. He went slow and got it in.
His Safety Dept called him later. Someone called to complain he backed in slowly and GOALed. The Safety guy was like I have to call, but this is the kinda complaint I want to get. And seriously, a trucker calling on another trucker for being safe????
There are some.people out here who are very sweet and patient and others who are jerks. .

Nice going here Bruce. In part the definition of professional is “doing the right thing” when no one is looking.

My DBL got this email and sent it to me. I was backing a trailer in and noticed another truck waiting for me to clear the lane. I didn’t know it was an instructor with his trainer. I’m just happy that I set a good example for the trainee watching.
