Just got the dang truck not even a week ago and I noticed the hub seal leaking oil while dropping at a customer...rofl-3.gif

I seen what I first thought was water on my tire until I noticed nothing else was wet, so I got a closer look and it wasn't water, it was oil I suppose, had a terrible smell.

I noticed it all over the tire, looked inside the wheel cover Schneider uses and seen it all over the inside and backside of the tire. Weird how I noticed it, guess it helps when something seems out of the ordinary.

Good catch. You should take those wheel covers off when you pretrip, so it would be easier to spot issues like that sooner.

Good idea! I heard a notice early this morning, can't really describe it. I did stop at the next rest area and checked it out, didn't see anything then. But that might have been when it happened.

Jamie, the good news is that in Wisconsin where Schneider is based, there is a Lemon Law. good-luck.gifgood-luck.gifgood-luck.gif

I'm at the shop been here over an hour waiting for the work order, called Schneider back and they said how their was a problem and they had to resend the work order rofl-3.gif

I'm already tired as heck, only one hour left on my clock.

The guy at this TA mentioned how it was a common problem with new tractors, and how he has had two other 2020 trucks in the shop this week regarding the same problem.

I thought I remember reading something on TT about someone else who had the same problem.

My father has to send brand new trucks back to the dealer all the time for various reasons.

One had to be rewired, because they ran the wiring harness wrong and it got pinched.

My 2020 peterbilt...

When I press the left stalk forward to cut low beams off for passing drivers, just engages the high beams.

One of a few electrical gremlins my brand new truck has.

That happened to.me when I was a Petro waiting to get my window selector switch replaced. I wound up fixing the old one. Anyway the right front driver's axle was leaking. He told I was the 3rd Swiftie to come through in last week for the same problem. All were 2018's. Hope that's not a trend.

Maybe it's brake fluid.
