I will. I will just let them know I think a year of over the road makes the most sense for me right now. I know they also need reefer drivers. So, I don't think it will be a problem, but you never know. I was planning on going reefer, I should have just stuck with that anyway.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I'm not saying you can't do that account. But I believe it is so hard for a new driver to do those things on those accounts to be successful. Is hard enough just to back into a parking spot at a truck stop for the night. Let alone having to do it several times a day in the shopping center avoiding cars and corners of buildings. Well I can't get hold of my recruiter, probably because it's Saturday. So, I'll drive out to orientation and talk to the driver qualification coordinator on Monday about switching to reefer. If they tell me no, I will drive home and look for another job to get started.
