I just buy an unlocked phone outright. Usually in the $200 range. Keep it for 2-3 years. Use Straight Talk BYOP (Bring your own phone) plan. Unlimited talk, text, data for less than 60 dollars per month. You can pick any of the big 4 carriers towers you want to use. NO CONTRACT. Im sure T Mobile has you locked into a fairly lengthy contract for all of those "free" devices. Unfortunately, you may be disappointed in T MO service OTR.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I have T Mobile and it sucks I have dead zones between on 30 between Chicago and Fort Worth. And in buildings and other areas.
Yeah, Marc, I'm afraid I have to concur about TM. (T-Mobile, not Tractor Man). I hope Tractor Man works better than T-Mobile. I have had either U.S. Cellular, and now Verizon for many years and have had no coverage issues. I've really got to test out Verizon since I'm going to all these far flung locations as a driver. Their coverage has been 100%. I'm paying for two phones with unlimited data. $135 per month total. Still a lot of money, but I'm sure Schneider is going to volunteer to pick up that expense any day now.

Dunno what the issue was.
Blew off ATT after many many years. Got a new (just released) phone and watch, so-so tablet with it's own limited data plan. Watch is also a phone (by itself) and phone is unlimited data. Paying about what ATT was charging for the old phone and 22GB of data (with a 22% discount). Tried for about 4 months running to lower that bill unsuccessfully.
TM phone was almost unworkable as a phone @ home, even with a booster.
Couldn't UL images here, streaming was frequently interrupted. Online Skype 12-step recovery meeting was unworkable. Phone was so bad I sometimes drove a couple of miles to have a call!
Phone updated to new OS about 10 days ago. I think maybe they added a tower or fixed something major in their network but after about 5 months this thing freaking works!
Hope it works OTR (at least my planned 7 States!)
