fuel light is already on.
Why????? I don't even know what the fuel light looks like on my truck. How often does your Company schedule fuel stops? The only truck I ever saw the fuel light on was my Mentor, 3 years ago. He was a L/O.........imagine that!!! He would buy "just enough" fuel for his next load. I wasn't able to convince him to fill up just once, then buy 60- 80 gallons at a time after that. The truck didn't care what fuel it used for which trip. We ran out over night at a truck stop while idling. Not sure what he had to pay for the TA fuel guy to bring 20 gallons over to our parking spot, and get the truck re primed and started. Ill bet it would have paid for 50-60 gallons at the pump!
Stay because you can't get out 🤷
Terrible. 3 trucks deep just waiting, then the trucks fueling and those guys who pulled up ahead. Probably the worst place I have fueled I would have skipped it but my fuel light is already on.
Where at so others may avoid it?
I run my fuel down until the light comes on regularly. It saves the company money, keeps me efficient and cost-effective, and eliminates unnecessary stops. As long as you don't push it too far, there's no problem. Heck, I can go another 100 miles after my light comes on. Not that I want to, just saying.
