I just wanted to say THANKS to Brett and all of you here. For those of you that can 'see' me lurking you know I have been taking advantage of the training material, and reading and checking the forum pretty regularly. The way people conduct themselves and help others here is most admirable as well as inspiring, and I believe such things start at the top. So, again, thanks for the site and all the top notch content you graciously provide.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
