Apply to all the company sponsored schools first, then compare offers to find a deal you can work with financially. We highly recommend company sponsored schools, but if there's a good private school near your home, you can check with your local unemployment office about getting WIOWA federal funding to pay for cdl school.

At Prime i paid $155 upfront for the permit and fees. Once i worked a full year, my contract was complete. I never paid a dime towards school. They paid for transportation, hotel, and the first week food at orientation. They advanced $200 per week for food for a couple weeks after that, and then you test out. Once you get your CDL you are an employee and get $700 per week and team with a trainer. After a certain amount of miles, training oay gets bumped up to $800 per week. Prime just extended the already lengthy training process, so if you want a lot of training at a very very woman friendly company... try them.
CFI is another that you pay minimal upfront costs
Roehl is another that pays decently... and they pay $500 a week during the schooling. When i worked out the numbers on one thread, Roehl and Prime over time pay fairly similarly.
As Susan stated, different companies have different policies both before and after schooling. Some may pay for transportation and hotel but not food. Some may not pay the hotel.

I wanted to see if any fellow ladies can help me out with a few questions. I need a paid cdl training truck school.
I am 28years of age if that matters.
1. I'm hoping for no upfront cost(I know majority of the schools i need to pay for my food and permit fees).
2. How is it for a lady trucker?
Any thing else you feel i should know please do include it.
