Was approved to deliver early, dropped the trailer off and now parked near by for my 34.

This means food, transportation, shopping and recreation opportunities abound!
If you gotta take a 34 on a holiday weekend there are CLEARLY worse places to do so!

Traffic is crazy this weekend. I fought it till this morning. After running my 70 hr click to 1 minute left I was pretty much forced to reset. Grabbed a nice hotel room, and enjoying the coke 600 (nascar race)

Good call. That way, if you cannot deliver early, you are only a few minutes away, when your clock resets, vs 7hrs. When resetting, I try to be as close to shipper or receiver as possible, unless I am playing tourist.
Shipper:
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
