Hey, TM! Well done my friend!
I can really relate to your desire to go OTR and roam the country. I would go nuts driving the same route all the time. And considering your advanced age and decrepitude, maybe you should do it. Lol.
Let me take this opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate your good nature and all the hilarious comments that you make. And also the knowledge and experience you exhibit. Best wishes going forward.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Congratulations!
Don't let your guard down the 2nd year can be the most dangerous!
No. Greg pointed it out correctly. My biggest bugaboo is TOO MUCH TIME on too many loads. 800 mile load with 3 days and scheduled live unload and can't change appointment!! I have had mote than several of those recently. Kills the paycheck. 800/3 = 233 mpd.
This is what I've been dealing with 600 to 800 miles and a live unload in three days. I was wondering if I was the only one?

Im with you JYD. Everybody needs to eat one of those occasionally, I just don't like a steady diet of them. I've had 1500 mile loads with 5 days! Very frustrating. BTW........bad math in my first post. 800/3= 266. Still sucks!

Great to hear. I'm glad I got the chance to meet you as well.
Next time you're in St. Louis let me know.
Hope the miles get better for you and all the drivers who got bills to pay.
