First time ever going to El Paso Tx, should be interesting. Going to be picking up in OK later today and start making my way over there.

Since I talked to one of our dispatchers like a few weeks ago about how I prefer to run nights, I have been getting a lot of loads with the option to run at night, and alot of them have been 600-900 miles long. So I'm pretty happy. dancing-dog.gif

Like recently I got a load from West Memphis to Mt Pleasant, Dallas To Knoxville TN, then a short haul run, and now picking up from OK going to El Paso.

This is just since I got back from my home time, which usually by now I'm back in the North East, so I'm a happy camper.

Dispatcher:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Forgot to mention the load I got from Greeneville TN back to Mt Pleasant TX. Then the short haul run to OK.

Once you run the west for awhile, you'll never want to deal with the NE again. You'll be amazed at the availability of parking compared to your home turf!

El Paso is great. If you park at the J near the back, you can walk up that hill and get a great view of Juarez and if you listen closely at night, even hear some gunfire lol.

Parking in the south is completely different then the North East, pulled into this rest area in TX on I20 west and it still had 3 spots open. Would have been 4 but some car is parked in one...

Funny I'm planning to take a 34 hour reset there, low on hours and recaps coming back to late. They have kept me busy this week. rofl-3.gif
