Well, it's a 2018 Peterbilt 579 with the 10 speed autoshift. The color is... Can you guess? Black!
It got dark on me and started to rain by the time I was done moving. How does one accumulate so much stuff in only 9 months? Puzzles me but I somehow have too many things.

Moving always sucks.
Next time I hope there is some advanced notice. I'll leave a bunch of stuff at home. LOL.

Photo time!
Super happy with it. Runs great, rides great and the eaton-fuller 10 speed works pretty well. Only gripe is it doesn't have the satellite tv dome on it. But that'll be an easy fix. Stop by Missoula or Springfield and have one installed.
Congrats. My Son and I were in MT last week, for unfortunate (family member passing) and instead of taking the bus back to Springfield they needed a truck taken from Missoula to Springfield. So he got miles back instead of the dreaded bus. Gotta love seeing those trucks headed down he road. Congrats on the shiny new wheels.

My absolute favorite color. 😜

One year ago today I signed a piece paper saying I'd work for Wilson Logistics (Jim Palmer/Wil-Trans) or own them a pile of money. Well, that part is over. Was it a big deal? At the time it was a scary unknown. Now, wasn't but a thing! Do I have any regrets on taking this path? NONE, ZERO! I'd do it the same way if I had to do it again.
I've learned SO much in the past year and continue to learn more every day. I've learned a ton from, my team trainer, other drivers, reading and Trucking Truth. The amount of info I've gained here is worth a 50,000 word novel! Since going solo 9 months ago I've done about 86,000 miles and 126,000 total. Almost half of my solo miles were winter driving through the Northern Rockies. Talk about a few hair raising experiences! But, I came out unscathed with no accidents and only one blow out (not counting the two almost blow outs)! *knocks on wood!*
To top a good year off, the gods of Chrome and Diesel continue to throw me curve balls just to keep me on my toes. I'm in Springfield with Ol' Dirty Gertrude in the shop getting a laundry list of minor repairs. Called Peterbilt this morning for an update then call my FM to relay the info. He processed to inform me that I'm getting a new (new to me?) truck!!! Still don't know what make or year. Once I know something and have some photos I'll post them.
Have a great day and stay safe!
Fm:
Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.Wil-Trans:
Darrel Wilson bought his first tractor in 1980 at age 20, but, being too young to meet OTR age requirements, he leased the truck out and hired a driver.
Through growth and acquisition, Wil-Trans now employs over 200 drivers, and has a long-standing partnership with Prime, Inc. to haul their refrigerated freight. The family of businesses also includes Jim Palmer Trucking and O & S Trucking.
