I apologize for the spelling, 2.5 hours of sleep, plus smart phone, plus fat fingers on a big guy = preventable spelling errors lol
Congratulations Moses! Keep up with the updates
Good job, Moses, you have crossed the Red Sea. Lot's of hard work ahead.
New! Check out our help videos for a better understanding of our forum features
First try! Followed the advice on here, studied my state guide for two weeks prior to the start of class. Received 100 on Gen knowledge and 89 percent on Combination and Air Brakes.
Next we are working on pre-trip and tomorrow restart our endorsements - hazmat , doubles , tanker, etc. You guys weren't kidding when you said that CDL school is like a boot camp, I am already seeing folks drop like flies.
One couldn't make it on time for the last three days and was dismissed, another passed the permit but thought he could fool the drug test (even after a 15-minute lecture about us not being able to fool it the first day....)
I'd like to keep you all posted on progress; this has been a good thing for me. I am running on 2.5 hours of sleep, so I will sleep good tonight lol.
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
HAZMAT:
Hazardous Materials
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
Doubles:
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.
