Any from the Roanoke VA area know where I could park a trailer for a couple of days? I can park my truck at my house just no room for the big box.

Check with some of the local truck stops. They may allow your trailer to park for a few days. Look around town, watching for a few trailers parked. Then find out who owns that property. The worst thing that can happen when you ask some palace is they can say "No". So keep looking.

Some TA/Petros may allow dropped trailers. Make sure it's ok with your company. Also, get a good kingpin lock.

Ain't no truck stops down there. Closest major ones are going to be White's Petro in Raphine, or Lee Hi TA in Lexington.

Can you bobtail 60 miles and back?

Bobtail:

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.

There is a truck stop just a few miles south of Roanoke. Kinda run down. They may jump at the chance to host your trailer for a few days.

Lancer Truck Stop-Deli, 5151 N Fork Rd, Elliston, VA 24087

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Down on Franklin Rd after getting off 581/220 where Tanglewood Mall is. Take a left at the exit, you have a Sonic and Red Lobster on the left across from the old Colonial Motor Lodge. Used to be a K-Mart there, plenty of space. You also have Excel Truck Group on Lee Highway.
