I live in Arkansas and just did this. It is $52 with taxes to get the CDL packet from the DMV. It comes with a CDL manual, a permit written test scores sheet, and driving exam sheet. Then you go to the state police testing center and take your permit test. Then you take the permit test scores back to the DMV and they will issue your hard copy CDL permit. $52 packet covers all these costs upfront so no added fees at permit test or to get hard copy only when you upgrade your actual license. Don't know about Roel as I went to Prime. I read Roel pays for transportation and does a hair follicle just what I read but maybe someone with Roel will chime in.

Thank you for the reply..I'll make my way down to the Arkansas DMV and get the packet next week when I get paid. Following week I will goto the state police testing center to get the actual hard copy of my Commercial Learners Permit and get a start date for Roehl. I'll keep in touch on this forum to update my progress.

Hi Everyone this is my first post on this forum, strong gly considering becoming a truck driver for Roehl Transport, they seem to be legit on everything with the paid CDL program they have. Although I have submitted the form about applying to other trucking jobs that's recommended on this website. I have emails from all of them. At this time I am considering seeing what several of the companies are providing for paid training and such. My first question would be, how much is the Commercial Learners Permit in the state of Arkansas, I have read its between 50 and 100 dollars. After that I can Orientation setup. Do I get reimbursed for transportation to goto the training facility from Little Rock Arkansas? I'll make a blog post on this site when I get a chance too, Roehl have already sent me the 2 emails from my recruiter and the email about the DOT physical and urine and hair follicle test. I hope to get some answers as I am going through the process of becoming a truck driver.
