Speaking of which.. why hasn't our 'ambassador' for CRST chimed in? Anyone..info? @MillionMiler24 I believe..... if I didn't mess up the spelling.

I see him on the tracker periodically so hes still around, however he must be real busy. Seems like hes bouncing coast to coast. I'd assume hes making way more than 500 a week.....

The "Wall" @ CRST Riverside terminal has lots of million + drivers plaques/pics on it....Talked to a few actually, cool guys

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Thanks, Rob T. He's one of my 'most admirables' on here, as are you. Again, thanks. I miss the prolific diaries, ya know?

Yep, he sure DOES beat the 'myth' up oneside and down the other. He deserved what he's worked his butt off for, as do you with your roots in trucking, for sure.

Wish y'all would post an 'update' of some sort, on y'all's diaries, just a 'hello, here I am now..' type of thing. (?!?)

Again, thanks for the heads up..

Happy New Year~!!

Anne

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Thank you for the kind words Anne! I have nothing to add to my first diary but the very brief one of my current job I was going to be updating next month once I complete one year there (January 21st). Couldnt be happier and as long as they'll keep me around this will probably be where I am til I retire in 30+ years (Yikes!) I'm waiting so I can include my total income so those considering a career have an idea of what certain jobs can pay. Too often, particularly with OTR people underestimate the income potential and it pushes them away from entering the industry. By providing real examples I hope we can change that while also making sure they know that top wages aren't just handed to you, they're EARNED.

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
