On the CDL application on here it asks about accidents I’ve not had any accidents with any vehicles but I have slide on ice and insurance paid for the damages minus my deductible would that count as accidents if the insurance pays for say a weather related incident.
That is definitely considered an accident. Makes zero difference if insurance paid for it. Trucking companies will find this sort of thing through a variety of channels.
Although highly doubtful it will lower your chances for hire, what ever you do, you must disclose it if required; meaning if the application has a question that asks; "have you had any accident in the last 3 years?" Answer it truthfully. If the accident occurred 4 years ago, its a "no". If the accident occurred 2 years ago, it's a "yes".
