A good start would be typing in the word “parole” in the search bar. This will give you topics regarding your question.
Welcome to the Trucking Truth site, Dewayne! You are going to have an uphill battle, and will probably hear 1 "Maybe" after 99 "NOs".
Questions you will get from that 1% that may take a chance on you:
How long ago was the felony conviction?
What are all the details?
When is your parole time complete?
What are your restrictions now?
How long was your sentence? How long behind bars?
How long have you been on parole?
Do you have any verification of employment before and after your prison incarceration?
Why did you show such a lack of judgment by committing such a crime?
What have you learned from your mistake?
*The biggest one*
Why should we hire a convicted felon, when there are lots of potential drivers that did not come to us with a record?
Sounds tough? Make you uncomfortable? I promise you, these are some of the questions that you're going to be asked.
I hope you can turn it around and see success in any venture you pursue.

Hello, imma convicted felon still on parole & i’m VERY interested in obtaining my CDL. I have a lot of visible tattoos so it’s hard for me to try & work a regular job. My charge was armed robbery. I’m really finding it difficult to find a good trucking school that will help me. My parole officer said he doesn’t have a problem with me going on the road as long as I can still report once a month. Does anyone have any advice on what school may help me? Or if this is even possible?
