Well, shrink my world !!!

That piece of road happens to be a mere boulder's toss from the tower site in my avatar..... and nearby to where I live. SH 243, MANY washouts like that from the Valentine's Day torrential rains of 2019. Road just reopened in December after complete closure for 10 months to rebuild.

Your encouragement for the day:

A little update, I’m going to see if I can possibly test out early on training. If the trainer is okay with it I am able to. I hope I can because at this point I’m doing everything myself and feel confident enough to go solo. I understand if I can’t but this trainer isn’t really teaching me anymore. Plus he refuses to stop at a Walmart or any store for me to get food. Eating at these truck stops is killing me financially to where I can’t eat today :( should of been more prepared but I thought 100$ would keep me fed for a week or so. If I can’t test out early I may see if I can get a different trainer for the rest of my hours. Still seeing my options.

Harvest,

I'm seeing the light at the end of your tunnel and it is NOT a train!

Just curious, how long is the Western Express training and how far along are you now?

1 week 5 days ago you posted the following on your other post, “My recruiter said I have to do 150 hours with a trainer as a team before I go solo. This makes me a bit nervous because that seems like it is very quick! Don't get me wrong, I don't like team driving, but I want to make sure I know what I need to before going solo.”

If I’m correct, you are in your first week with Western? Above you post regarding to test out early, “I hope I can because at this point I’m doing everything myself and feel confident enough to go solo. I understand if I can’t but this trainer isn’t really teaching me anymore.“.

Stay focused and soak up as much as you can. In this short of time there is no possible way your trainer isn’t teaching you anything. I’m an outsider just looking in with the motivation of hoping you succeed.

Good news! I learned that I can get a advance on my pay. So I was able to get something to eat and some coffee and I feel allot better now. This next week will fly by.

I think the thing that sucks the most about trucking is finding a parking spot to take a break in. When I go solo I’m definitely going to try to run my clock so I’m done with the day around 5pm or even earlier. I’m parked in a reserve spot to take my 30 minute break, I hope it will be fine confused.gif
