To prevent any confusion Demond originally posted this over in the CDL training section of the forum and Rob D suggested he repost it over here. Here is the other Thread

Demond,

Please give us more information regarding the ticket:

When and where did you get this ticket? You said before you got your CDL , but was it before you applied to Pam?

Was it on your MVR before you applied to Pam and did you disclose it?

What state is your license?

Basically, I am trying to figure out how you got hired by Pam, went through training, upgraded, and then Pam found the ticket on your MVR.

Rob.

I got the ticket in January. A day before I started. The truck driving school that was Sponsored by them and driver soultions. It was before I even got to do all the paperwork. It wasn’t on my mvr. They told me my mvr was clean I just had two accidents that was not my fault. No I didn’t disclose it Bc I didn’t know if I needed too. But now I learned that you have to disclose everything in this line of work. My licenses are in Alabama

It's likely the non-disclosure is also a big issue.

2 very big things stand out here Desmond...Trust and Safety. Getting a 15+ over the limit ticket the day before orientation and failing to disclose; violate both of those things. What were you thinking?

Then that’s totally on you. Every application I’ve seen will have a section worded something along the lines of, “Do you have any accidents, tickets, or convictions.”

Naturally you were fired for failing to tell the truth on your application.

Companies are strict on hiring because of two reasons: 1. It’s their butt on the line if they hire someone with an undesirable past history, and 2. The insurance companies liability is astronomical with some of the recent “nuclear payout” judgements.
