Trevor, a CDL woth no experience means nothing in this competitive environment. This job is critical from a safety sensitive position. Get over it. Nobody is going to hire a guy who took a weekend course to obtain his CDL. I realize you think you are good to go, but you need to trust the people willing to teach you. They know that you've got a lot to learn. The sooner you can realize they are right, the better off you will be.

You're going to realize how much you need the training they're offering, but it won't be until you humble yourself and realize how little you know about what you are getting into. I'm sure you will do fine, but you have got to get more training. They aren't trying to take advantage of you. They want and need professionals who can get the job done efficiently and safely. Everything they do for you will be worth ten times what you've already done.

Jump in, you'll be fine. Trust their knowledge. They aren't interested in getting paid by you. They are interested in having a relationship with you that benefits both parties.
