They can wait. They want your undivided commitment. They would rather have you unfettered from concerns at home. Those things are a huge distraction, and cause many newbies to quit.
Your recruiter will be disappointed, but it's not a game changer. They may try to pressure you, but you're in charge of your start date.

Ok i want to give it a million percent. Since having a 20 year old felony I have to work twice as hard. I just don't want to make them think I am uncommitted I am. Just home got to be taking care of. They accepted me so fast I got excited. I'm going to tell them if I have to do another drug test I will pay for it.
Thank you
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Prime will rely on their own background check. They will run a more detailed one after you show up for orientation.

Well I was supposed to start orientation at prime the 17th. I did my drug test and everything. Well due to the fact I have to put my truck in the shop and other financial responsibilities need caught up at home first.
Do you think prime will let me wait till mid July or beginning of August? I know i will have to redo the application agian be past 30 days. But i don't want to leave and not have my priorities at home first done.
Plus my truck will be fixed and I can drive down instead of rent a car. I plan on calling my recruiter Monday just want to know. If they say nevermore I guess I will try swift. Last try especially with 30 some year old felonies.
Thank you.
