Random Question About An Interstate In Arkansas

So i lived in central arkansas my most of life. I have always wondered why hardly any truck drivers take i430 to 40 west when it a straight shot to 40 with out having to go i30 through the bs of the capital area. Any know why this is?

Is it by chance weight restricted? Less miles to go through the capital area? I'm not familiar with the area so I haven't got a clue

You like 5 18 wheelers on there plus you don't the speed limit change like you do on i30 about the cross the arkansas river

I'm also from the central Arkansas area and took the 430 to work for years. I'm not sure how long the section from the bean field has been there but I agree, that short cut is not that well used. I have used it in a truck before but maybe not all gps systems route down it. There are no restrictions on that highway.
