I'm a 27 year old woman in San Diego looking to get into trucking. I really think this career would be a great fit for me, but I want to get a sense of life on the road before I invest in trucking school. So I'm posting here to see if anyone's willing to take me on a trip with them. I am open to different situations. Maybe an overnight trip would be best, I could stay in a motel? Not exactly sure how this usually works so let me know!

I'm a good road buddy.. nice, calm, low-maintenance, generally not annoying haha. I'm willing to work out some kind of compensation for this huge favor, so let's talk. I'm open to talk to anyone but would feel most comfortable with a woman or member of the LGBT community. Advice welcome! Thanks!

Liability. That’s the #1 reason a driver would not want you on their truck. Also company policy doesn’t allow it. This site, Brett’s website has tremendous articles that would help you. You need to do some digging. I’d agree that until you actually are in a truck, you don’t know what it’s really like. Some people hate it, some love it. Good luck.

They varies by company. I went on a ride along with G-Town before taking the plunge.
