Can A Trucking Company Charge You Maintenance Fees From Two Years Ago

My husband is buying his truck from this company that he has work for like 4 years the company keeps taking out maintenance fees from like 2018 can they do that ?

What does the contract say? Did he have work done on it before buying it? Some places will do work before you buy the truck and then add the costs on to the payment or even deduct it separately.

Welcome, I wish ya’ll would have found us before this point. Buying a truck from the company you work for is a really bad decision in most cases.

He has to have a contract regarding the purchase, there will be clauses in it regarding maintance. Also he should have a lease with the company outlining all the revenue, expendatures, etc.

Did he have things done over time or was there a expensive repair they gave him a loan to cover??

Without knowing alot more of the full circumstances that is all I can offer at this point.

I have my own mechanic that works on my equipment except for emergencies. I never use the company. I made that mistake one time. They messed up the billing, then couldn’t fugure it out and took me 4 months pushing the issue to finally get some refund. Since that day they do not touch my truck.
