Another change I made was running off recap hours the entire month vs resetting each week.
So speaking of Crete, there's Jamie.
Glad to read you're enjoying the switch and doing the recap driving, both!

Thank you!
Running off recaps haven’t been so terrible, I run the same type of miles as if I was to reset every week. So not bad at all!
Being OLD, I love doing the recaps and have found that it works best for me.

So after spending around 8 months on the Walmart dedicated account out of North Platte, NE for Crete, I decided last month to finally go back OTR after another series of bad luck getting back to North Platte after home time.
The account is great and works out amazingly if you live within the normal operating range of the DC, you get home just fine. But in my case, I lived in Arkansas and home time took some time to arrange and I would constantly have to remind them I need a national load going home for home time or they would forget. If I had any national load problems I had to call our HQ in Lincoln which wasn’t ideal since it was hard to get ahold of anyone who could help. So I would waste hours trying to get a problem resolved every time I went home, or needed to find an MT.
Other than the home time problems, I loved the account. They kept me busy, always running 2800-3400 miles a week.
But being back OTR has been good to me this past month, I have continued to make the same amount of money or more each week while working less each day. Another change I made was running off recap hours the entire month vs resetting each week.
OTR:
Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
