JungleListSoldier 4 years ago I think the surprise is you were approached by film producers to star in a trucking reality show.๏ปฟ

I love that comment. Maybe that was his plan all along.

come on grumpy, tell us how you really feel!!! This guy is the epitome of drivers who bounce from company to company. he is an embarrassment. I lost count at how many companies he went to, including buying his own truck. He is in the prime facebook groups still bragging about this video and his interview on TV. Big deal. I met the POTUS when I was 16. it doesnt define me. he got his 15 min of fame and cant leave it alone.

He is the reason i dont watch youtube videos nor make them, despite being encouraged by others. at the time many other youtubers came out on both sides of this issue. but remember, any idiot can have a facebook page, blog or youtube account. it does not make them an authority on anything.

i laugh at his RunzHard handle. Give me a break. He is a whiney crying baby and im more of a man than he is. But im definitely more woman too.

LOL. I don't doubt it. My daughter in law would call him a soy boy.

If young men and women like him are our future, we are doomed.

I know this topic is a bit of a dead horse but for anyone new that reads this topic I had a similar scenario happen a couple months ago.

I had a delivery in Hannibal, MO and I was preplanned for an empty move to Edwardsville, IL, loaded to Pueblo, CO

I delivered in Hannibal about 10pm June 11th, woke up the next morning and rolled out about six to Edwardsville where I had a preloaded trailer supposed to be ready by 10am. It was only a 90mi drive but normally things are ready early with preloaded trailers. I show up to Edwardsville, the load isn't ready and I end up waiting 13 hours before it is.

At the time the delivery time coupled with hometime I was trying to make for an event I'd been planning for a few months necessitated an overnight haul, even though I had had a 10hr break, 2 hours of work, then another 10hr break. I left Edwardsville about midnight the 12th, napped outside Topeka, KS around 5am, left at 7am, stopped at exit 70 in KS, Olathe I think, at about noon. Spent the day trying to nap so I could move as soon as my clock was ready at 10pm. I delivered in Pueblo around 2am, and made it to Denver at 4am.

So... it can be done. Like Brett and others have said numerous times there are tools to use when you're trying to get out of a load, or even just buying a little bit of time on it, and there are tools to use when you've gotta make a load happen.

The obvious answer is to refuse to drive if you know you are too tired.

The bigger issue is how to avoid fatigue and deal with it when it starts to come upon us. Any driver sitting behind the wheel for 10+ hours per day has to be alert to this issue and have an individual plan to deal with tiredness and fatigue.
