I’ve started a dedicated route up through Colorado each week. Probably not the best time of the year to start a Colorado route.

Dedicated Route:

A driver or carrier who transports cargo between regular, prescribed routes. Normally it means a driver will be dedicated to working for one particular customer like Walmart or Home Depot and they will only haul freight for that customer. You'll often hear drivers say something like, "I'm on the Walmart dedicated account."

Be SAFE, all y'all winter drivers.

It went from 43F rain, to .. maybe 38F hail ... to .. huge snowflakes! (No, no , NO .. not the drivers! He said he 'captchad' 5" size on his daschcam .. will have to sift .. or he was just .. wearing the bifocal part of his glasses? LoL... idk. ) Just glad he's home.

Hubby slid (almost literally!) in to homeplate (home!) safely.. sheesh.. I DON'T LIKE THIS WEATHER, but I DO thank y'all for the pics. Keeps ME grounded a bit, methinks, LoL!

G'Town.. any more conundrums? Your episode literally MADE this thread, sir!!!

Respect, always...

Kansas City this morning, roughly 14 hours after the freezing rain and snow stopped. I35 on the way down wasn't bad, did 65 until I hit the hill with QT (mm13). Slowed it down, then when I got to US 71 to go to Prairie Village the ice was so compacted and rough it sounded like I was on rumble strips the entire way. Pic above was on my way to Gladstone with only 2 pallets weighing 2,500 total. Very slick with no weight and stoplights on hills isn't much fun.

This is a regular stop of mine on the Hydro account. It is in Connecticut. Sometimes the snow is really heavy in this area due to its location near the coast. There is always a lot of moisture in the air. During the summer months the humidity makes it feel like Texas heat sometimes, but in the winter it makes for a lot of snow in that area.

In this photo I am backed into the unloading area.

Here's a fun little road I often take in Ohio. The customer is off the beaten path. This is actually a dirt/gravel road that gets you there. In the winter it is tough to see where the edge of the road is, Oftentimes I would encounter another flat-bedder in the ditch during the heavy snow. I don't ever recall seeing anybody plowing this road. I assume they plow it occasionally, but most of the time it was pretty precarious during a heavy snow. Fun times!

I don't think so. I can't remember the number. It's a county road near Amsterdam, Ohio.

Ahhh.. okay. Looked like 3 in Perrysville/Loudonville. Thinking 78 near the landfill, then! We gotta meet up, haha!

US 54 in Louisiana, MO in Pike County, just across the border from Illinois this afternoon. Everything is iced over to the point that trees were starting to drop some limbs.
