This week just went from good to bad. I have never once in my life done any type of amphetamine; So I was dumbfounded when Swift called me to say my hair follicle test came back positive for them. I didnt know what to say. I cant think what I took that would make me test positive for it ( But It sure as heck wasn't Meth.) I got in touch with my doctor and he said I have nothing prescribed that would make me test positive. I'm losing my mind here. The Doctor at swift said that my urine came back negative. He said the results were not reported to the clearinghouse, so I hope this doesn't ruin my chances as ta career before they even started. Can anyone offer me some advice? I don't know what to do. The doctor said he would ask swift if they could do some additional testing.

Bubb Rubb,

Just curious how THIS all turned out for you. Is this ^^^ conundrum the reason you ended up going with PAM?

Helen (a new member here) had a similar situation w/her husband's test at Werner, and I'm wondering if further information couldn't be of help.

TIA ~!!

This is an interesting one. I start training locally in June and I am sure when I get hired somewhere they will end up doing a hair follicle test. I have never done any drugs, but in February I had a Septoplasty done and wouldn't you know they used something called Cocaine HCL Topical solution. I was just going to bring in my info from that surgery as a "Just in case"

Anyone think this would come up as a positive result ?

It may, but as long as you have documentation from the hospital, doctors, ETC… stating what was used for your procedure and prescribed afterward they wont count it as a fail

I had cataract surgery on my eye in March and surgery to repair a ligament in my foot in April. Before each procedure, I asked the anesthesiologist to issue me a report of what they used knowing it will likely show up on the hair test. They both happily printed them out when I told them why I needed them. I also kept all my pre and post op script slips from CVS just in case. I was prescribed pain killers for post op pain for foot but didnt need them and never took any.

I figured as much. I have an itemized hospital bill, EOB, etc. I was a bit shocked to see the stuff on there to begin with but apparently they use it to numb the nasal passages before they start cutting into them.
